Traditional Tales – Bringing a variety of Traditional Tales alive, meeting the characters, physically exploring their world and creating their own versions for performance.

Books Alive – Looking at a range of books by any one author, e.g. Shirley Hughes, Eric Carle, A.A. Milne. Exploring the settings and characters and making comparisons.

Poetry – Available on a variety of themes from Animals to Narrative verse. Using rhythm and rhyme and alliteration and nonsense words have fun with language as we create our own poems.

Moral Tales – From Birbal’s Tales of India to Aesop’s tales these wonderful stories give rise to exploring a variety of themes and are a great starting point for PSHE work.

Role Play – Available on any topic. Children take on characters along with the Leader In Role to explore a number of different situations using Meeting formats and Reportage amongst other techniques. Encourages Speaking and develops Listening techniques.
