Mini Beasts and Pond Life – Through stories like “The Boastful Dragonfly” children explore a variety of insects and their special qualities. Using a pond story cloth the children see the seasonal changes and development from tadpole to frog. 

Bees and Pollination – Through games and stories children learn about the magical world of bees and the important jobs they do. The session finishes with a telling of “Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Bees”. 

Mechanical Toys – An exploration of the different mechanisms used in toys. By visiting the fictional old toyshop the children discover the way toys are propelled; swing; pop up; etc. In movement and dance they also become the toys and discover how their own bodies work to perform different tasks.
